Grammy Winning artist Sananda Maitreya releases his new album ‘NIGOR MORTIS’ now available as MP3 files and in CD format on the artist official website.
All songs are written, arranged, produced and performed by Sananda Maitreya.
The project was recorded in Milano - Italy, where the artist lives since
2002.
Sananda plays the four basic instruments of Rock: drums, bass, guitar and
keyboards; as well as a few others instruments and he can never remember a
time when music wasn't playing in his head! From the beginning of his
professional career he has personally written arranged and produced all his
music and has also collaborated with other top artists and producers.

He presents his music as POST MILLENNIUM ROCK, a music made by the heart of
the artist for the spirit of the people, its nature is passion, courage and
curiosity.
Sananda began his career as Terence Trent D’Arby. He became Sananda Maitreya
after a series of dreams in 1995 at the age of 33 and currently lives in
Milano. “Somewhere between ‘Rigor Mortis’ and ‘Vigor Mortis’ lies ‘Nigor Mortis’. I
know what it feels like when the heats comes up, the hammer comes down and ‘Nigor Mortis’ sets in”.
Nigor Mortis represents the state in between Rigor Mortis and Vigor Mortis,
from the stiffness of a corp to the vitality of life, as an awakening from
the mummification to celebrate Life.
Sananda Maitreya will be soon in concert in Switzerland. He will be
performing at La Birraria in Mendrisio on October 2nd 2009 and at Gran
Casino in Basel on October 6th 2009 with his 2 men orchestra : ‘The Nudge
Nudge’, Nik ‘The Sticks’ Taccori at drums and Enea ‘Il Conte’ Bardi at bass,
two Italian musicians. More dates will follow in the fall of 2009.
